Metallica concert at Stadium Merdeka

The Star reported that 30,000 fans attended the Metallica concert last night and tickets were no cheaper. I wonder what's the crowd like at the Linkin Park concert at Bukit Jalil two nights earlier. The concert was held at the 45,000-capacity Stadium Merdeka.

The Metallica Live in Malaysia 2013 concert was the band's first ever in the country (its last show in the region was in 1993 in Singapore), and it was a rousing success as the band rocked the sell-out crowd with a set comprising some of its most popular hits.

These include Master of Puppets, For Whom the Bell Tolls, One, Nothing Else Matters and its all-time most recognisable song, Enter Sandman.

Comprising of lead singer guitarist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo, the heavy metal band was formed in 1981, and is one of the most popular and commercially successful rock bands in history.
