I was driving along Chow Kit Road the other day and was surprised to see an increase in the number of small hotels offering Bed and Breakfast. This is a step towards encouraging tourism.
Chow Kit Road used to be associated with transvestites and things cheap. Some ten years ago, this area was thriving with stalls along the pavement just outside shops. It was a popular shopping area for those looking for a bargain.
