Please Mr. Postman

Despite the high-tech era of Internet, email and such, snail-mail is still part of our lives. I know I'd still get a thrill from receiving a handwritten letter or a postcard through the postal service. That would be such a treat, don't you think? Looks like mailboxes are here to stay.

In the West, residential mailboxes are so pretty, most of them. Over here, we have the standard red mailboxes - nothing to feel excited about except for the contents the postman puts in.

As for commercial mailboxes, I think the ones here are more or less the same as the ones overseas. No, wait! I believe the ones overseas are a lot prettier too and they come in many designs. We lost again.

  1. Residential mailboxes are great for the non-gated houses like those in America. Unfortunately, most urban folks in Malaysia live in gated houses or apartments.

  2. If not for the requirement that all must use the red mailboxes, I think residences would have nicer looking mailboxes, gated or otherwise.
