These days, many office operation functions are being outsourced. Many big companies find it more viable to outsource those functions that take up too much of company resources with little payback. They would prefer that their resources be put to better use.
Besides staff hiring, check processing is one of the functions that many companies outsource. It is quite the norm nowadays to have electronic check processing done by banks for their corporate clients. This not only improves efficiency, it also reduces the number of times money changes hands.
