A Net Scam

People in Malaysia are still falling prey to scams. The latest being a student. Despite so much publicity, this student was scammed of RM148,000. A really sad case.

  1. I read a bout that the other day, and I couldn't believe
    1) how anyone is still so gullible these days
    2) how greedy anyone can be to put up RM148K
    3) how rich the student already was

I am sure there must be more than meets the eye though..

  5. LB, that really is a lot of money for a student, for anyone for that matter. There's an expensive lesson.

Z, ignorance is a benefit of the doubt. Benefit? Oops!

Zewt, I didn't want to say it but you took the word right out of my mouth. What do they say about "A fool and his money"?

Sulee, a costly naiveness, I should say. Whatever it is, I feel for her and her family.

And the scams they are still coming in full force, ladies and gentlemen. I still get those letters from Africa promising unclaimed millions. Anyone interested?

  6. That's terrible. But if you send me just RM50,000 I can make sure it doesn't happen to you!
