Goji Berries & Goji Berry Products

Soups are a big part of Chinese cooking. Soups can range from the ordinary vegetable soup to the more complex and nutritious herbal soup where a variety of herbs are put in together with meat and boiled over low fire for many hours. One of the ingredients in such herbal soups is wolfberries, also known as Goji Berries.

From as far back as I can remember, as children, we were reminded to eat our Goji berries if we wanted to improve our eye-sight. I supposed that is not unfounded as according to the Wikipedia, wolfberries (Goji berries) have long played important roles in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) where they are believed to enhance immune system function, improve eyesight, protect the liver, boost sperm production and improve circulation, among other effects.

Goji berries are naturally sweet in taste and can be consumed in various ways. They can be eaten raw or consumed as juice or wine or brewed into a tea. There is now no need to have friends and relatives bring them back when they visit China as Goji berries and Goji Juice can be bought online.
